Summary: Jun has a really bad crush on Sho and he finally decides to ask him out. Satoshi seems to fancy Kazunari and there's something Kazunari isn't telling Jun. Masaki is just good looking as always. They work in a call center. I'm bad at summaries. Haha.
Note: This fic was supposed to be titled "Naked" because it was initially for Jun's birthday but I got carried away and it got lenghty and I know I will never finish it on the 30th. This is also supposed to be a Tokyo Ghoul cross over fic but I've decided to make 2 endings, just in case I still wanna write the gore. Lol. Anyway, this was very fun to write and I learned a lot. Might be updating this every week. <3

After almost four months of just staring from a distance, Jun finally asked Sho out on a date. Jun was sitting in the corner of the restaurant trying to finish a chapter of Kafka on the Shore while waiting for Sho. He was thirty minutes early and didn’t really mind, he enjoyed hanging out at cafes by himself.
There was a lot of needless— if not overly dramatic— hesitation before Jun finally asked the golden question. First of all, Sho was one of the tenured managers, and a really good one at that, having a reputation of being the top manager for a year straight. Yeah, it wasn’t all that but it was still enough to make Jun a little bit intimidated, considering the fact that he was an externally hired manager and not even half a year of tenure in the company, he just felt uncomfortable about it.
Second, Jun didn’t really want to admit he liked Sho in the first place, much to the annoyance of his best friend and confidant Nino, one of the facilities managers. Nino had caught Jun staring mindlessly at Sho multiple times already and teased Jun about this regularly even though he still denied it. One time when Nino and Jun were alone, Jun was so stressed about his team’s score, he had slammed his fist on Nino’s station desk and hissed a I’m so annoyed Sho Sakurai is still top manager and he’s fucking hot and he’s fucking good at his performance it’s pissing me off I want to suck his dick dry in one breath. Nino wouldn’t stop teasing him about this the entire week and came up with the idea that the only way he could make Jun ask Sho out was if he placed a bet: If Jun couldn’t ask Sho out by the end of the week, he would need to pay for Nino’s lunches and drive him home every day for three months. Not that Jun really cared if he spends for Nino, but being the very competitive person that he is, he took the bait. It was a win-win situation anyway.
“If you get him to fuck you or vice versa on your first date, I’ll pay for your lunch for a week. But of course if you can’t… you’ll buy me lunch for a week." Nino added. Jun scoffed. He always gets into someone’s pants on the first date without fail. That was out of the question. Nino shrugged and said that sometimes, there are exceptions and judging from Sho’s personality, it was a good gamble to make. Jun rolled his eyes.
Last and certainly not the least, nobody actually really knew if Sho was gay. He didn’t really talk about his personal life, and when asked blatantly about his sexuality he’d just chuckle and reply with “What you see is what you get.” He didn’t really have any close friends in the office either except Satoshi Ohno, who was the account director—and despite being very approachable and somber, nobody ever really talked to him because well, he seldom talked. Jun actually got mad about this once. “What the fuck does what you see is what you get even mean? He dresses like every normal guy with slopey shoulders and… well, you can’t really tell if a person is gay or not by the way he dressed but can he be please be more specific?!” He told Nino, only getting a fit of laughter in response.
It’s not that Jun had no experience with talking to men that he liked, really. He just found it weird to ask a person out if they hadn’t really had a conversation before and he never really had any real interaction with Sho. They’ve had a few call listening sessions together, weekly meetings with Satoshi and the rest of the team but that was it. It also didn’t help that they were seated almost ten stations apart and he could never really get the chance to start small talk with the man.
“Did you wait long? I’m sorry I’m late.” Jun looked up and found Sho standing by the table in a midnight blue button up shirt, the sleeves rolled up, black skinny jeans that made his thighs look amazing, and black shoes.
Jun put his book down and invited Sho to take a seat, slightly stuttering, forgetting how good looking this man was up close. He smelled really great, too, a kind of cottony sea breeze scent, something Jun wouldn’t mind wearing himself. “You’re not late at all, the opposite actually.” Sho was never late; he isn’t top manager for nothing.
The waitress arrived with Jun’s second cup of plain black coffee and she proceeded to take their order. Sho ordered a chicken asparagus sandwich and Jun refused to order anything else saying he wasn’t hungry.
“I’m really happy you could make it, I didn’t think you would actually say yes when I asked you out.” Jun tried to relax, smiling. What was there to be nervous about, anyway? He knew he was good looking and a very able young man. He didn’t have body odor, his breath didn’t stink and he wasn’t dumb either. What was there that would possibly turn Sho Sakurai off on the first date?
“Well, what made you think I’d say no?” See? Why did Jun ever think Sho would refuse? “To be honest though, I was a bit surprised when you asked me out all of a sudden during the team lunch. I didn’t expect that at all.” Jun noticed Sho’s stare momentarily break from their eye contact and trail off to his neck and shoulders. He had purposely worn a wide necked pullover to expose more skin, and he was glad to see it was working.
“If you want me to be honest, I don’t think I could let you leave that room without asking you out so I did it while you were still kind of busy with food.” And of course because I was going to find a hard time approaching you again if I let that opportunity slip. There was only a day left before the week ends and I’d lose the bet.
Sho raised his eyebrows with amusement, trying to fight off a smile. “Good tactic.”
The waitress had arrived with Sho’s sandwich and they continued talking about things. Sho mentioned he had noticed Jun reading when he came in and asked him what he thought about the book. Jun obliged and was very happy Sho seemed to be interested in things he liked and that they could exchange opinions about it.
He learned that Sho loved to travel during their day offs, and felt himself blushing—feigning a cough—when Sho said he had cancelled his plans to go to the beach today because they were going on a date.
Jun also found out that Sho liked to talk very much. Jun would tell him a story and Sho had at least three kinds of different stories in relation to it. This wasn’t a bad thing. It was actually very amusing to watch Sho talk with those beautifully shaped and moist lips of his. It just made Jun curious how that mouth would feel if it was doing something else other than talking… or if it was good at eating something else instead of food.
“I don’t know if I’m in the right place to ask this but… that guy from facilities… Kazunari? What was his last name?” Sho dabbed a table napkin on the said beautiful lips. His nails were very clean, too, but they were rather wide. “You’re good friends with him, right?”
“Oh, yeah. Ninomiya. What about him?”
Sho smiled. “Is he single…?”
Jun raised an eyebrow, a bit taken aback that Sho would ask that about Nino. If Sho was interested in his best friend, he’d drop him in a snap.
Sho laughed, waving a hand as if reading Jun’s mind and shooing away what he was thinking. “I’m just curious because Satoshi seems to be talking about him a lot lately.”
“Satoshi? You mean Director Satoshi?”
Sho nodded, grinning. “Yep. I’m not sure if I should be saying this but I think he has a huge crush on Kazunari.”
“Nino, huh.” Jun chuckled. “I guess I could help the Director with that, if he wants.”
Sho laughed and Jun noticed the small lines appearing on the corners of his eyes every time he did. Fucking cute.
They got so engrossed in conversation and hadn’t noticed that the restaurant was now empty except for them. “Wow, it’s this late?” Sho said, looking at his watch, it looked very expensive, but Jun couldn’t tell what it was from where he was sitting. “Shall we?”
The parking lot was deserted expect for the two cars on opposite sides, Jun and Sho’s.
They were walking to Sho’s car, feeling more comfortable with each other. “We should go to Masaki’s family restaurant next time, though it’s about two cities away.” Jun said, leaning on the driver’s door.
“That’s not a bad idea, and I could drive us.” Sho rested his hand beside Jun, leaning in. “…if you don’t mind riding, I mean.”
“If you think that’s supposed to be a cute pick up line, it’s not.” He rested his hands on either sides of the slightly shorter man’s shoulders, noticing that they weren’t as slopey as they looked. “But yes, I wouldn’t mind riding you… I mean your car.”
Sho chuckled and kissed him, and the younger man seemed so eager to please. Jun was pulling him closer, slightly tugging on his hair, his other hand slightly resting on Sho’s chest, slowly and very carefully sliding down to his stomach. Sho let him. It’s been months since he last felt this strong kind of attraction towards another person, and he wanted to relish on this feeling of need. Jun’s mouth tasted like coffee and… something else Sho couldn’t put his finger on, but it wasn’t something that put him off. He felt Jun’s tongue slightly graze his lips, the younger man’s hand was now caressing his erection through his pants. It took a lot of concentration to pull away but he did. He couldn’t let it go further than this, at least not yet.
Jun glared at him.
Sho opened his car door before Jun could say anything and before he could change his mind because, damn hell, that annoyed look on Jun’s face was fucking sexy. “We’ll continue that next week.” He gave Jun’s cheek a small peck and said goodnight before he drove off.
Jun Matsumoto was fuming. How the hell did Sho manage to escape that? How the hell could someone have that much self-control? He’d lost the bet and now he’d have to treat Nino lunch for a week and worse, he’d need to take care of this raging hard on by himself.
